Observations from the figures
- Forward Euler has growing amplitude and outward \( (u,v) \) spiral - pumps
energy into the system.
- Backward Euler is opposite: decreasing amplitude, inward sprial,
extracts energy.
- Forward and Backward Euler are useless for vibrations.
- Crank-Nicolson (MidpointImplicit) looks much better.
